While the US Consulate will participate in this seminar, it is a project organized by a group of volunteers who emigrated to the U.S. and then returned to work professionally in the fields of social work, education, tax, and banking. These volunteer speakers will discuss the topics that new immigrants and students have told us they are most interested in:
Seminar attendees will receive a family resource handbook for new immigrants prepared by a Chinese community council in the United States or you can access the online version of the handbook by clicking here (for a Chinese version click here). Although you must register for this free seminar, no obligation will result. For those holding immigrant visas, any one member of your family over age 15 may register by submitting an online application by clicking here. Students can register for a seminar by clicking here. Only attendees with prior registration can attend since the location is a government or private premises. When registering, please provide your local identification or visa number (at the top right-hand corner of your visa). Please direct any questions to Mrs. Yeung via email to usocusa@gmail.com and not to the Consulate General.
At the seminar venue, all attendees should be seated early so that speakers may begin on time. Please turn off mobile telephones and beepers so that others may listen without disruption.
